I thought I would let a young friend of mine who came to visit, be the guest of this blog.
He was asked by his parents to send a text to his Grand parents. It was the 3rd day of his holiday and there was so much more to come but here is his text. I’ve added the pictures in to it to help you share in his experience….
hello I am having a brilliant time in spane. yesterday I went to Mundomar and I saw a dolphin show it was amazing.
I even bought a cuddly dolphin named wonkey. there was also a sealion and a parrot show.
But best of all I got to touch a dolphin we got a picture of it.
It will be on the calender.
Today Mum and Dad and auntie Jill went wine tasting
But don’t worry I played with the wine mans daughter
I Picked up a chicken.
Kissed and stroked a tortoise.
Hugged a dog.
Stroked a cat.
And looked at a fish.
This is what I did in spane hope you are having a good time.
Lots of love Alex xxxx 🙂
Pity I didn’t get a picture of the kissing of a tortoise!
He was so patient in writing his text and so happy with his end result.
The wine vineyard was great for us folk too as we sampled extremely good wines. Then we heard the story of how Peter is being troubled by the Spanish authorities. He’s payed all his taxes, supported his wife and child for 11 years and is now under threat of closure. Is it jealousy as he grows his vines in a different way to his neighbours and his wines are beautiful too. The tour is amazing and Peter is an outspoken and honest host and I wish him all success. Spain needs to help businesses like this, he employs and pays staff well to pick and process the wines. He rents land off other people and so is giving into the community and economy.
It sadly opened my eyes to running businesses here and I hope that Spain does not let its entreprenours down.
What Alex has reminded me of is that we should all open ourselves to some childish wonder once in a while. The feeling that you are doing something new, exciting, or just spending a moment appreciating what is good in your life. I’m going to get practicing and want to thank my guest blogger for reminding me to cherish each moment.
What wonderful insight from one so young, guess he thinks he is famous now!
Sounds like a good time had by all and well done to you for managing to keep going through all the events of the holiday.
