The hustle and bustle of the city life.
Cars driving past, the beeps of the horns.
Lots of people crowding onto trains and buses. The announcements in the stations. People with their headphones on and I still get to hear their choice of music.
The constant ringing of phones in the office, the conversations going on. Then they introduced meetings whilst standing up, so that everyone could hear the noise!
The crowds in the shops, the tinny music, the shouts of Mums at their kids or Wives arguing with Husbands.
I live on the coast and even the seagulls sqwarks were annoying me! The kids on the beach, the youngsters with music blaring from the cars.
At home, it’s a silent place. No music, no radio and no TV – bliss and boring!
No, I’m not suddenly old, I just have an issue with noise. It crept up on me and I just found I got more and more intolerant. That’s not the right word but it feels like it annoys me, instead its more that my body tells me that noise is bad.
Are you noticing that you want to be alone and quiet?
You are not alone and you can do something about other than become a Nun or a Monk in a silent order.
Your adrenal glands produce hormones in a very precise way, according to how your body is reacting to your environment.
So many of us live in this industrialised world that they say up to 80% of us could be affected for a short or even a long time.
How to help yourself,
- Its about taking time out and doing exercise that calms you.
- Looking at your eating habits, eat more organic and natural foods so ditch the white carbs in bread and sugar.
- Take time to eat
- Getting rest and not watching TV in bed till you drift off – make bed the place to relax from the moment you get into it.
- Think about vitamins, as these help to support your adrenal glands
So my friends are starting to notice that my home is not so quiet any more. I have the radio on, I watch some TV. I even ate in a big group. Wow that hit my adrenal issues on so many levels and yet ‘I did it’ and I didn’t feel stressed or strained after it.
Now I know I am on the right road to recovery.
